- Starting tonight, the Gowanus Experimental Film Festival launches through April 5th. Screenings by Bobby Abate, Michelle Chu, Steve Cossman, Sarah Dahnke, Jimmy Ferguson, Lorenzo Gattorna, Steve Girard, Sean Hanley, Jason Halprin, Nick Heppding, Bryn Jackson, Josh Lewis, Simon Liu, Ryan Marino, Keith Miller, Margaret Rorison, Joel Schlemowitz, Cassandra Sechler, MM Serra, Jessie Stead, Mark Street, M Woods, and many others, including a program by MonoNoAware.
The Gowanus Experimental Film Festival is part of the third annual Gowanathon, a fundraiser which benefits the Gowanus Arts Building, sponsored by NFP, Spoke the Hub, which offers arts classes and spaces to artists of all ages working in many disciplines. Your tickets will go to renovate the building and keep the independent art scene vibrant.
