Starting this week, check out films from emerging filmmakers who are Brooklyn-born, Brooklyn-based and Brooklyn-centric at the 3rd annual Art of Brooklyn Film Festival.
The event is the only international film festival to showcase films and filmmakers that all have a meaningful connection to Brooklyn. That means cast or crew were born and raised here, or now live and work here. They also screen films from across the country and around the world that were shot in or inspired by Brooklyn.
Check it out (just remember to visit a Fifth Avenue bar or restaurant before or after the films)!
The Friday, May 17 screening of 'American Bomber' at 9pm will donate a portion of its ticket sales to The One Fund Boston, a charity set up to help victims of the Boston bombing.
