Wow, it feels like all we are writing about this week is Park Slope Civic Council events. Quite a busy fall for them, right?
Here's another: This Saturday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. (rain or shine), meet at the sidewalk in front of the Old Stone House/J.J. Byrne Playground, on Fifth Avenue between Third and Fourth Streets for the Civic Council's Fall Civic Sweep.
Get your tools then join other volunteers to pick up litter and leaves, weed tree beds, plant daffodil bulbs and mulch trees on Fourth, Fifth, or Seventh Avenues. You can also bring your unwanted clothing and textiles for recycling by Wearable Collections. The cleanup is free and open to everyone.
Be there and do something nice for your community!
