Postmark: More Than a Cafe

This week we visited Katie Love, the Manager of Postmark Cafe, just off #theother5th on 6th St. The cafe just opened again for the New Year after getting a fresh coat of paint.

It's a great hang out serving delicious coffee and pastries. Plus, free wifi, without a password! But there is more to Postmark than I knew. It's actually a non- profit. They donate 100% of their tips to a chosen charity each month. This can range from $1,500 to $2,000 a month! That's a lot of help. Charities range from large to small; The Osborne Association, UNHCR and CHiPs to name a few. So get that coffee refill and slip some more change into the jar. The chalkboard shows which charity you will be giving to that month.

One event most parents in the neighborhood know about is story time, which takes places in the lower room on Fridays at 10am.  But Friday Night is Comedy Night: The Living Room. Doors open at 7.30pm, and the show starts at 8pm, It's free and there is a beer, for a donation.

The art on the walls are also from non-profits and available for purchase.

7am - 6pm
