Welcome to the official beginning of the holiday season. It seems like only yesterday, we were sitting outside of a restaurant or bar on Fifth Avenue and soaking in the sun's rays. Doesn't it?
Of course today is Black Friday, the traditional day for high-volume, big-deal shopping. As always, though, we encourage you to take some time today to explore what Park Slope's Fifth Avenue has to offer. If you can't make it today, though, be sure to come down tomorrow for Small Business Saturday, the big day to shop small! Participating merchants will be taking $10 donations for Red Hook Relief between 3 and 7 pm. Look for posters along the avenue or check here tomorrow for a list of participating stores, bars and restaurants.
