**CELEBRATE FALL BY SWEEPING THE STREETS CLEAN**
**Saturday April 16th 10am - 2pm**
Make a clean sweep of our beautiful neighborhood by joining the Park Slope Civic Council at its annual fall beautification, recycling and clean-up event.
Put on your old clothes and come to the sidewalk in front of Old Stone House/JJ Byrne Playground, 5th Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets from 10 am to 2 pm (rain or shine). Join other volunteers in:
-weeding and mulching street trees
-picking up litter on sidewalks
-painting over graffiti on lampposts (must be supervised by adults)
Bring your unwanted electronics (TVs, computers, and home entertainment equipment) for recycling by the Lower East Side Ecology Center. Please, no home appliances including microwaves, air conditioners, refrigerators, or smoke/carbon monoxide detectors. For questions about electronic waste recycling, call (212) 477-4022.
They'll also give away free daffodil bulbs for planting in public areas.
They'll serve refreshments, and provide all tools and supplies. Volunteers will leave wearing “I Made Park Slope Cleaner Today” stickers. Community Service vouchers will be available.
