We are so pleased to announce that the Prospect YMCA is now on the list of charities represented at A Taste of Fifth!
The Y is actually located in the BID which runs up all side streets between Dean and 18th on 5th Ave as well, and stops only when a residential property is reached. As you can imagine, a lot of 9th St between 6th and 7th Avenues is in the BID.
The Y runs many programs for families and schools on healthy living. They offer arts and culture programs, swimming lessons, summer camps and are a hub of life for our community. There's so much going on all the time. If you want to find out more, there is the website but they also have an app, which is fantastic. You can look up the pool schedule and fitness schedules and you can get notifications for holiday time changes and pool closures.
When you buy a ticket for A Taste of Fifth you can choose which charity you give the $20 of the ticket to. The Y can use this to teach a child to swim, send a child to camp and provide family programs. Buy your tickets here.
