South Slope Summer Strolls Starts This Saturday!

Saturday 16th and 23rd July between 12th and 18th Streets on #theother5th from 5pm-9pm

Free fun fills Fifth Avenue this summer. From 12th to 18th we have a huge list of entertainment to suit everyone. A Climbing wall, juggler, hula hooper, lawn with giant games and chairs and classes/demos, bands, open fire hydrant, corn hole, drinking and eating on the street, face painting, vintage cars, large chess and your local stores and businesses with some fun activities too.

5pm-6pm YMCA Zumba Class on the lawn between 14th and 15th
6pm-7pm Capoeira Brooklyn on the lawn between 14th and 15th
6.30pm 3rd Annual Doggy Fashion Show in front of Freddy's Bar between 17th and 18th
7pm-8pm Align Brooklyn Yoga on the lawn between 14th and 15th Streets
7.30pm - 8pm Empanada Eating Contest in front of Empanada Loca between Prospect Ave and 17th Sign Up Here to be a contestant.

Empanada Eating Contest!

Yes, South Slope Summer Strolls is coming up in just about one week on Saturday July 16th at 7.30pm! As part of the festivities, our friends at Empanada Loca (606 Fifth Ave between Prospect and 17th) will be hosting an Empanada eating contest!

Free Drone Giveaway with Analog Drone

To celebrate the 2016 US National Drone Championships (hosted on Governor's Island), Analog Drone is giving away a free Drone each week until August!

Each week they will give away one Hubsan Nano Drone, the world's fastest nano-class drone. 

The GRAND PRIZE,  a WALKERA F210 RACING DRONE, will be given away on the first day of racing, August 5th, 2016.

Brooklyn Bavarian Biergarten Turns One!

**Saturday, July 16th from 8pm**

As part of the South Slope Summer Strolls and their 1st Birthday, the Brooklyn Bavarian Biergarten is having a birthday party! When the turf has been rolled up, the dogs are home sleeping and the climbing wall has left for the night, then head up Prospect Avenue to the biergarten for a DJ, dancing, drinking and giveaways.

Jonah's Just Begun 2nd Annual Fundraiser

Have some fun and help raise money for a really important cause! This year they are paying tribute to the heroes that walk among us in everyday life.  From the doctors that diagnose and keep our children healthy, to the community that comes together to support JJB & Rare Disease; they are all heroes.

While the children enjoy all of the fun activities, you will have a chance to bid on must-have auction items from your favorite local businesses, including a pajama party 10-pack from NY Kids Club, a dinner at Fonda Restaurant, a free class at the Hootenanny Art House/Music Together, and many, many more!  All proceeds will go to help fund life-saving treatments for children with Sanfilippo Syndrome.
