Two Reminders: Events This Week

A couple of big events this week:

1) Dine in Brooklyn starts today! Check here for a list of participating restaurants on Fifth Avenue.

2) Just a reminder that this Saturday, March 24th, the Park Slope Fifth Avenue BID, Lower East Side Ecology Center and City Council Member Brad Lander will be sponsoring an electronics recycling event from 10 am - 4 pm at the corner of 5th Avenue and 4th Street.

Brooklyn Reading Works: In The Year of the Dragon

Tonight at 8pm at The Old Stone House and Washington Park:

 IN THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON: ASIAN AND ASIAN-AMERICAN WRITERS

The event is curated by author Sophia Romero and features Brooklyn Poet Laureate Tina Chang (pictured, above), novelists Susan Choi, Hoong Yee Lee Krakauer and Sabina Meyer, and playwright Linda Faigao-Hall reading excerpts from their latest work.

A Q&A will follow the reading. A $5 donation includes light refreshments and wine.

Dine in Brooklyn Update

The poster for Dine in Brooklyn has been released (we got this graphic via Visitbrooklyn.org) but it looks like the list of restaurants won't be available until tomorrow. Rather late, don't you think?

Anyway, as you can see, the poster does announce that there are over 175 participating restaurants, throughout the borough.
